| So yes, I am a slacker much like many of my fellow xanga members. So the holidays have been awesome and make me not want to return to the real world, blah. I was just happy not to be working the holidays. Christmas was filled with family and lots of good food. New Years was interesting. Besides drinking champane and pretending to be a New Years Fairy, we danced and at midnight got smothered by boys trying to pop all the balloons that fell down on us. The box game was also a highlight of the evening, and produced some rather interesting photos. You may be wondering what the box game is right about now? Well, it is too complicated to describe in words, so I will leave you in suspense, and next time I see you we shall play. The next day we were still getting calls regarding the fairy and decorated our champane glasses with our new years resolutions which had to rhyme with 06....licks, hicks, nicks, ticks, chicks. Oh by the way Sheila you may want to change your voicemail on your phone.
Not much else going on with me, just been spending way too much money. I simply love my new computer. I may marry it. That or I really could marry my chiropracter that I started seeing. That mans hands work magic. I love him already.
| Can't you see that it's just rainin'
There ain't no need to go outside
But baby, you hardly even notice
When I try to show you
this song It's meant to keep you
From doin' what you're supposed to
Like wakin' up too early
Maybe we could sleep in
I'll make you banana pancakes
Pretend like it's the weekend now
And we could pretend it all the time
Can't you see that it's just rainin'
There ain't no need to go outside
But just maybe, hala ka ukulele
Mama made a baby
I really don't mind the practice
Because you're my little lady
Lady, lady love me
Because I love to lay here lazy
We could close the curtains
Pretend like there's no world outside
And we could pretend that all the time
Can't you see that it's just raining
There ain't no need to go outside
Rain all day and I don't mind
The telephone singing, ringing, it's too early
Don't pick it up
We don't need to
We got everything we need right here
And everything we need is enough
It's just so easy
When the whole world fits inside of your arms
Do we really need to pay attention to the alarm
Wake up slow, wake up slow
Ain't no need, ain't no need
Rain all day and I really, really, really don't mind
Can't you see, can't you see
We've got to wake up slow
| I have recently decided that I should not write on this site, especially when funky moods lead me to mimic Dr Suess. Blah. Anyway, update time. Yesterday Lizzard came to visit me. I have not seen my old roomie in a while, so we had lots of catching up to do. Last night we went to McNallys to do just that. It was a bit crowded; but we still had fun throwing darts with Joe and Joe, drinking a littl-o beer, and chatting over Taco Bell. Today was also a good time. After sleeping in, Lizz and I went downtown to get some coffee and shop. I spent way too much and all I got was a bit of jewelrey. We spent hours designing our own necklaces. Mine ended up costing thirty some dollars, there is something so wrong about that. Either I have very expensive taste or they riped me off. Oh well it is the experience that counts. After exhausting our creative selves, we ate a little Indian food. All I got to say is mmmmmm good. What an awesome day off. Now time to get a little beauty sleep before I returning to the real world tomarrow. Oh the life of a working woman. | | |
| I think I was a bear in my past life. I was meant to sleeep the entire winter. I do not like the cold weather, I do not like it Kelly I am. Plus the extra layer of fat that I gain every fall and during Thanksgiving would last me all winter if I were just to sleep. So why do I waste my time waking up and going to work, hummm this is a question that also puzzles me?
I worked the past two days, I am off today, then I work the weekend. So what am I doing on this wonderful day off. I have the heat cranked up and am either sleeping or eating. Gots to re-energize for the next two days, what a visicous cycle.
| Blah, what a day. It all started when I got a crazy call in the middle of the night from some psycho, she sounded kinda like my sista. Then I work up at 4:30 AM and could not sleep.......oh my god no matter how many times I told myself to go to SLEEP, my eyes stayed open fixated on the bright green numbers that slooowwly seemed to drag by until it read 6 AM. Blah, so then I went to work. I had my first patient die on my watch today. She seemed very alert, able to follow commands, and make her needs known in the morning; but by afternoon time she was barely breathing. The hardest part was trying to be strong for the family when I myself wanted to cry. Blah, then of course I had a looney tune patient that thought I was her daughter, we were also in Virginia, and there were birds flying in the room. Coo coo! Blah, plus I missed seeing Jason on TV since I was at work, triple blah.
But now I am listening to my roomie play guitar, it is really soothing. She had a better day than me, after many years and several years she was 'refloured'.....well kinda, Little Ceasar style. Hummm, well the weekend has not been all lame. Friday night I went out with Ali Cat in the big ole city of Columbia. Ya know dancing is such a stress reliever, the drinks weren't half bad either. Ali gave her number to a bouncer, who she later found out was 40 years old, which is about her dads age. She says at least he is mature. Maybe I need a older man like him to find a little maturity.
Hummm, food for thought. Speakinig of food. Last night I was craving chip and mint ice cream. I took my free blue bunny gift certificate so of course my dumb butt didn't bring any money thinking I would get the ice cream for free. Well, and of course blue bunny didn't have any ice cream. I think blue bunny has it in for me. First they don't put any chocolate chips in my last box of chip n mint ice cream (hence the free blue bunny gift certificates). Maybe my complaining about no chips in that box put an end to Blue Bunny chip and mint. If ANYONE out there can find a box of Blue Bunny chocolate chip mint ice cream ANYWHERE, let me know please. Ok did you follow all of that rambling, well hope so. Anyway hope all is doing well and Good Luck on finals!!!
